The WSUM Talk Department is where our news anchors and talk show hosts work. It constantly strives to bring to its listeners informative programming based on integrity, efficiency, and entertainment. Through each show, whether the topic be campus and community issues, sports, or popular culture, talk hosts construct programming most beneficial to their listeners' radio experience. Weekday news reports at 6 PM ensure that listeners stay well informed with up-to-the-minute coverage of important events and issues within the local community, as well as the nation and globe.

WSUM talk hosts and reporters partake in vigorous training, and are held to the highest standards on and off the air. WSUM Talk maintains an immense interest in the voice of its listeners, and through its live programming, welcomes the active participation of listeners via telephone and internet communication.

Whether covering politics or university events, media or hobbies, the WSUM Talk Department pledges to present programming geared towards the UW-Madison community and committed to excellence.
